Organic Chun Mee, also known as precious eyebrow tea, is a very popular Chinese Green Tea. While there are many common varieties, the higher grades have a wonderful, distinctive plum flavor. Our organic special grade Chun Mee combines this plum-like flavor with a smooth, sweet aroma.

Ingredients: Organic green tea

Tasting Notes: Plum like flavor with a sweet, smooth aroma

Brewing Tips: Use 1 tsp. of tea per every 6 oz. of boiling water (170 degrees). Steep for 1-2 minutes. Do not over brew to avoid bitterness.

Origin: Hunan, China

    Nice and relaxing

I like the organic Chun Mee for its mild smooth flavor which helps me relax and wake up in the mornings.

    Excellent tea

This has become my favorite green tea. It has a rich, full flavor, and survives a bit of over-steeping better than most.

    Very bitter

The previous review on this tea gave me hope that I might find another green tea through this company that I love! Unfortunately I was really disappointed. This tea does not have a "plum" flavor at all! It did smell like plum upon opening the package, which got me really excited. My husband and I brewed our first pot at 175 degrees Fahrenheit and steeped it for 3 minutes. My husband and I looked at each other with twisted mouthes as we realized this tea is horribly bitter. The flavor itself is yucky. I keep it at my work and brew it at about 1 tsp for 2 cups of water, and the first cup is OK, but by the second cup it's once again bitter and better to be tossed out. For reference, my favorite teas on this site are the "Just Green" and the "Jasmine Oolong". Not sure why this one flopped! Maybe it was the batch I ordered. I'm glad I only ordered the 4oz. bag.
