Yes. Sustainability is an important part of how we operate at Heavenly Tea Leaves, and we’re intentional about choosing packaging that protects both our teas and the planet.

• Our Sample, 2 oz, 4 oz, & 8 oz loose leaf teas are packaged in resealable kraft pouches lined with corn-starch PLA, a plant-based, compostable material with a lower environmental impact.
• Our pyramid tea bags are made from sugarcane, are 100% plastic-free, and fully compostable, with soy-based ink used on all tags.
• Our tea sampler boxes are made from Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certified paper.

We continue to evaluate and improve our materials as better, more sustainable options become available, while also prioritizing the freshness, quality, and flavor of our teas. Yes. We offer free carbon-offset shipping on domestic orders over $50. This option will automatically apply at checkout when your order qualifies.

When your shopping cart amount is $50 or more, you will automatically receive free shipping at checkout. If you applied a coupon to your order that is lowering your subtotal, this may be causing the issue.

You can easily view the status of your order and track your package by signing into your account. You can also track your order through the Shop app.

We do our best to make sure that orders are packed well and filled correctly and completely. If you experience any problems with your order, keep the order in its original packaging and contact us within 7 days.

We offer a curated selection of organic loose leaf teas, pyramid tea bags, samplers, and specialty blends across herbal, green, black, white, oolong, pu'er and wellness-focused categories.

A lot of variables like plant varietal, plant age, growing region, field conditions, soil nutrients, rainfall, and length of the growing season influence how much caffeine is present in plucked tea leaves to begin with. Caffeine content will be further affected during production of the leaves into the finished variety like white, green, black, etc. Finally, the amount of tea leaves per cup, hotter water, and longer steeping all contribute to more caffeine per cup.

Below are general guidelines for amount of caffeine per tea variety (These quantities may vary depending on the specific tea):

• Black Tea: 60-120 mg
• Matcha: 60-100 mg
• Oolong: Tea 45-75 mg
• Green Tea: 35-70 mg
• White Tea: 10-55 mg
• Herbal Tea: 0 mg

As a reference, a brewed cup of coffee generally contains between 80-150 mg of caffeine 

All tea types including white tea, green tea, oolong tea and black tea come from the same plant, called the Camellia Sinensis plant. Any leaf, herb, root, fruit or flower, like chamomile, rooibos, and peppermint come from a different plant or flower and are therefore considered herbal tea or tisanes. All herbal teas are 100% naturally caffeine-free, while anything deriving from the Camellia Sinensis plant naturally contains caffeine. 

Always remember to start with clean filtered water. Refer to our tea brewing instructions for more details. 

Each variety of tea will have a different weight and volume. For example, chamomile blossoms are very light but some of our traditional black teas are more dense and heavy.

Although tea will technically never "go bad", it will stay freshest for up to a year if kept in a cool, dry area in an airtight container.
