Eco-Friendly Packaging
At Heavenly Tea Leaves, we are committed to the use of eco-friendly packaging. Just as we focus on supplying the finest organic, sustainable teas, we recognize that the composition of our packaging can reduce our mark on the environment. As part of our green philosophy, we always strive to use kraft, recyclable, compostable, and reusable materials to pack our tea samplers and other products, while maintaining our teas safety and freshness. We are also in the process of moving towards a 100% organic line of teas. We are proud of this step because organic tea is farmed without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers - it's better for our planet, and it's better for us too, a real win-win all around. Our mantra is straightforward: low impact, high quality.
Loose Leaf Teas
All of our full-sized loose leaf teas (sample, 2 oz, 4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz pouches - excluding our bulk teas) are packed at the height of freshness in our signature resealable kraft paper pouches that are lined in corn-starch PLA (also known as corn plastic or polylactic acid), a 100% compostable type of resin that represents the future of efficiency in packaging and a lighter carbon footprint.
Of course, the green mission is behooved by the consumption of loose leaf tea itself, as opposed to teabags and sachets that can contain pernicious micro-plastics and other non-biodegradable components. When it comes to the Earth, there’s one obvious benefit: no bags = less waste!
Tea Samplers
When it comes to our specialty sampler sets, the sustainability is real. We custom-pack these sets in kraft paper boxes that are both recyclable and Sustainable Forestry Initiative Certified. The sampler tins can be used to store and display additional teas or any other household bits and bobs. It helps that they’re sleek and attractive, too.
The Essentials Collection
The latest news in the Heavenly Tea Leaves world is our debut of the Essentials Collection, a suite of eight simple-and-satisfying blends of organic loose leaf tea. What’s special about this line when it comes to the environment? We like to omit the conventional plastic, going again for kraft paper packaging that is PLA-lined, certified home-compostable pouches certified by TUV Austria.
Living planet-friendly is all about habits, both personally and when it comes to crafting and purveying tea. Our dedication to the planet manifests in making both our tea and our packaging as health-promoting and sustainable as possible. Personally, we each can do our part in consuming, & reusing such products in ways we know to be optimal.
