Gaba Oolong

26.00 NIS

Gaba stands for gamma-aminobutyric acid. It is a chemical that naturally occurs in the brain and helps the information reaching your brain cells move more efficiently. GABA may contribute to lower stress levels, improving sleep, and reducing depression and anxiety. GABA is naturally occurring in all tea in small levels. Some tea makers figured out how to make tea with higher levels of GABA by oxidizing tea in a high-nitrogen, oxygen-free environment. This process was discovered in Japan in the 1980's when Dr. Tsushida Tojiro discovered that anaerobic conditions encourage the conversion of glutamate to GABA. Behold, Gaba Oolong.

Ingredients: Oolong tea

Tasting Notes: Smooth, plum notes, clean finish

Brewing Tips: Use 1 tsp. of tea per every 6 oz. of boiling water (190 degrees). Steep for 3-4 minutes. Do not over brew to avoid bitterness.

Origin: Mr. Chen's Eco-Farm, Nantou, Taiwan

So dang good

So gaba oolong is really good to counter act MSG if you are sensitive to such a thing like I am. Plus it is good to just chill with a book with hot cup of tea.
