Organic Gunpowder green tea, known in China as Pearl Tea, has leaves that are tightly rolled into small pellets. These shiny, grey-green, hand-rolled leaves typically make a strong, somewhat astringent cup, with a smoky edge from high firing. During the steeping process, the pellets gracefully unfurl and create a robust, dark-green tea. This Gunpowder has a pleasant aroma and aftertaste, without the harshness frequently found in some grades.

Ingredients: Organic Green Tea

Tasting Notes: Bold, chestnut notes, slightly smokey, slightly astringent

Brewing Tips: Use 1 tsp. of tea per every 6 oz. of boiling water (170 degrees). Steep for 1-2 minutes. Do not over brew to avoid bitterness.

Origin: Anxi Garden, China
